Aloha! We arrived.

Greetings mainlanders! After a grueling day of travel, we arrived in Maui. Because of the time difference, we got to relive 5 hours of a day that wasn't very good the first time. Once here, all we could manage was to scarf down some food and go to bed.

We awoke to the sound of the waves crashing against the beach right outside our condo window. The grounds around our unit are really beautiful. We can see the pool and ocean from our lanai. After breakfast, we rented our snorkel equipment from Snorkel Bob's and went to explore the local beaches. We started off at Olowalu Beach which was recommended by the staff at the rental store. The beach was small but we could park our car along the side of the road and sit in the shade of a fallen tree. The kids had a great time posing for the photos. The waves were calm and in no time Chloe was a snorkel pro! We ate lunch before a small shower made us decide to leave and go searching for a different place to people watch. While we were driving, the sun came out and we decided to stop at Kaanapali Beach. We found a free parking spot with easy access to the beach.  From our grass mats, we could watch the crazy people jump from Black Rock. I held my breath every time they jumped. Some yahoos even went head first.

We arrived back at the condo in time for a complimentary Mai Tia party at the pool. :) We had a nice dinner and went back to the pool and hot tub for a dip before bed. As Chloe would say, this was the best day ever! Aloha.
